About

I am a Civil Engineering graduate from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology with a profound interest in Hydroinformatics, Geohydrology, Hydro-Climatology, Land-Atmosphere Interaction, Emerging Contaminants, and Water Quality. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have pursued research that aligns closely with Environmental Engineering, utilizing Remote Sensing and Data Science.

As a Research Officer at C4RE Services, I have developed strong quantitative skills in data modeling, remote sensing, and GIS mapping, while also leading and coordinating research projects. My current work includes analyzing hydrologic changes in GeoMIP climate scenarios, particularly the G6Sulfur project across South Asian river basins, where I utilize big data and advanced analytics to assess geoengineering impacts. Additionally, I am involved in developing vector surveillance maps for smart livestock farming and disease control and mapping informal settlements to enhance community services.

Reflecting on my undergraduate journey in Civil Engineering at one of the four prestigious engineering universities, I find two main reasons that made this field suitable for me. The first is a genuine love for applying logic to comprehend concepts, fostering a sense of confidence and self-assurance. The second reason, though less apparent, stems from my background as a diligent student in school and college, where I was constantly immersed in traditional subjects such as math and science. This disciplined approach evolved into a genuine passion, revealing my adaptability and resilience.
My research experience spans various environmental challenges, including pollution, climate variability, and sustainable resource management, with a focus on leveraging satellite data and advanced computational tools. My current projects, such as the spatio-temporal variation of air pollutants and the detection of plastic debris in coastal zones using machine learning, heavily rely on data analytics and machine learning. I have been working with Python and JavaScript since graduating last year and am continuously enhancing my skills.
Given my background in environmental research, quantitative analysis, and data science, I am eager to contribute to cutting-edge research in hydrology, water resources, and environmental contaminants. I am confident that my expertise can advance our understanding of hydrologic processes and their implications for sustainable water resources management. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to further develop my skills in a collaborative and dynamic research environment.
